Aegirine Cluster
Aegirine was named after Ægir, the Norse god of the sea.
This stone is sometimes called Acmite derived from the Greek word ἀκμή, which translates to “point or edge” in reference to the crystals structure.
It was first discovered in Norway in 1835 but can be found all around the world including Russia, Greenland, Canada, Kenya and Scotland.
Its commonly found on shades of black or brown with rare variants being dark green.
