Nephrite Tumbled
Nephrite is a variety of the calcium, magnesium, and iron-rich amphibole minerals tremolite or actinolite (aggregates of which also make up one form of asbestos). It is one of two different mineral species called jade.
In ancient times it was known as a kidney healing stone and in the early cultures of New Zealand and South America, Nephrite had a special status. Nephrite is extremely tough and resistant due to dense, fine-fibered matted aggregates and is suitable for the production of tools and weapons.
