Celestite is derived from the word Celestine which is further derived from the Latin word caelestis meaning celestial.
It is most commonly white or blue in colour with very rare variations being pink or green.
The main source of this stone comes from Madagascar, but some deposits have been found in the UK.
This stone is very fragile and is known to break very easy.
